Cast Alnico
Alnico, also known as Alcomax, is a composite material of Aluminium, Nickel & Cobalt so is a non corrosive material in water.
Alnico magnets also have good temperature stability and a high working temperature. Their Low coercivity means that they are excellent for solenoid applications.
A major issue with cast Alnico is porosity which can cause problems when a good clean ground surface is required. In these cases Sintered Alnico is preferred.
